Text search
Martini Desktop and Online include a graphical user interface (GUI), called text search, for finding text within source files. This interface can be opened by clicking the magnifying glass icon on the toolbar.

Search form
Initially, this interface is displayed as a form containing fields for configuring a search:
Through this form, the following search criteria can be configured:
- Search string: defines the terms to search for
- Case sensitivity: whether or not the character casing of the search string should be matched
- Content type: for filtering which file types to conduct the search on
- Scope: for specifying which instances should be included in the search
Search by instance support in Martini Online
Search by instance is not supported by Martini Online since Martini Online can manage only one instance at a time.
Search results
After a search is executed, the Search view will appear at the bottom panel (by default). This view will display the corresponding search results per instance. A double click on any of the results will open the corresponding editor for the file.
