Configuration of Lonti Managed Hosting
Configuring your Martini Server Runtime instance with Lonti Managed Hosting is designed to be a straightforward process, allowing you to tailor the instance to your specific needs. Here's how you can configure various aspects of your instance.
Accessing Configuration Settings
To access and modify the settings of your Managed Hosting instance:
- Log in to Lonti: Navigate to console.lonti.com and sign in.
- Select Martini Managed Hosting: In the main menu, choose Martini and then navigate to the Managed Hosting section.
- Choose Your Instance: Select the instance you wish to configure.
Configuration Options
Custom Domain
- Purpose: Assign a custom domain name to your instance for branding and easy access.
- Steps: In the Custom Domain tab, specify the domain name you want to associate with your instance.
Service Dependencies
- Purpose: Configure dependencies such as SQL databases, NoSQL databases, or message queues as required by your application.
- Steps: Use the Service Dependencies tab to set up and manage these services.
NOTE: Usage charges may apply for each service dependency configured.
User Accounts
- Purpose: Manage user access to your instance, specifying who can log in and manage configurations.
- Steps: In the User Accounts tab, add or remove users and define their access levels.
Instance Details
- Purpose: View and manage the details of your instance including size, configuration, URL, and the version of Martini Server Runtime.
- Version Management: Upgrade or downgrade the Martini Server Runtime version as needed.
- Steps: Access the Instance Details tab for these functionalities.
Activity Stream
- Purpose: Monitor the operational activities of your instance, including start/stop events and user activities.
- Steps: The Activity Stream tab provides a log of these events for audit and monitoring purposes.
Important Notes
- Updates and Maintenance: Keep your instance updated with the latest version of Martini Server Runtime for new features and security enhancements.
- Version Changes Impact: Upgrading or downgrading your Martini Server Runtime instance may affect the applications running on it. It's crucial to thoroughly test your applications with the new version before applying any changes. Additionally, be aware that changing the version will require a restart of the server, which may result in temporary downtime.
